U17: Ladies won Chelsea / Sub-17: Meninas vencem o Chelsea
WSL is over, but not Arsenal Ladies season! Our U17 played yesterday against Chelsea and they won by 2-0. Taylor Hinds scored first, in first half. In second, Rianna Dean got the penalty and Georgia Allen converted. Also worth highlight the player Laura Hooper, who cleared a shot off the line and helped the team to build the victory and the clean sheet.

A WSL acabou, mas não a temporada do Arsenal Ladies! Nosso Sub-17 jogou ontem contra o Chelsea e elas venceram por 2 a 0. Taylor Hinds marcou primeiro, na etapa inicial. No segundo tempo, Rianna Dean sofreu o pênalti e Georgia Allen converteu. Vale também destacar a jogadora Laura Hooper, que tirou uma bola na linha do gol, ajudando o time a conseguir a vitória sem sofrer gols.

Novo chefe / New boss
O treinador de 38 anos passou 5 anos como técnico no time feminino do Rayo Vallecano, na Espanha. Quando estava lá ganhou a Copa da Espanha em 2008, e a liga em 2009, 2010 e 2011.
Losa conseguiu a licença A da UEFA e irá estrear contra o Bristol Academy, no dia 20 de setembro, até lá a capitã Kelly Smith comandará o time.

Today Arsenal announced the new manager for Arsenal Ladies. Is Pedro Martinez Losa, who was in Western New York Flash in NWSL, as assistant coach. The 38-year-old manager spent five years in Rayo Vallecano Femenino, in Spain. While was there, won Spanish Cup in 2008, and league in 2009,2010 and 2011.
Losa holds a UEFA 'A' licence, will take up his position on september 15. His first game will be against Bristol Academy, on september 20, away. Since there, captain Kelly Smith will comand the team.

MUDANÇAS! / CHANGES!

Vic Akers, que fundou o time em 1987 irá se afastar do dia-a-dia para o cargo de presidente honorário. Desde lá foram 32 títulos conquistados, incluindo a Taça UEFA. Akers deixou o cargo de gerente para contribuir com o sucesso da equipe como gerente geral, em 2009. Agora ele continuará a acompanhar os jogos no Meadow Park e continuará dando conselhos e orientações.
A ex-jogadora Clare Wheatley foi promovida para gerente geral. Ela será responsável por supervisionar transferências de jogadoras, renovações de contratos. Irá desempenhar um papel-chave na contratação de uma novo treinador para substituir Shelley Kerr. Wheatley tem sido indispensável na comissão técnica do Ladies há mais de 10 anos, anteriormente ela era responsável por supervisionar a gestão do dia-a-dia do Development Team.

Yesterday, Arsenal announced changes in management set-up.
Vic Akers, who founded the team in 1987 will be honorary president. Since there Ladies won 32 trophies, including Uefa Women’s Cup. Now "he will remain a regular at Ladies games at Meadow Park, as well as continuing to provide advice and counsel to the Ladies coaching staff"*.
Former player Clare Wheatley willl be general manager. "She will oversee player transfers, contract renewals and aspects of the coaching set-up. She will also play a key role in the recruitment of a new Arsenal Ladies manager to replace Shelley Kerr"*. Wheatley has been indispensable in Arsenal Ladies’ backroom for 10 years as she was "responsible for overseeing the day-to-day running of the Ladies’ academy"*
